traveling the world advice?

Hi there. I am looking for advice on where people would advise to travel.

I'm 27 and really feel like I've seen nothing of the world other than some bar floors in Ibiza in my early twenties which were great at the time but want to experience something different!!

I really fancy America or Canada so any info on these would be great.

I live in Glasgow, UK so if anyone knows any websites or agents who would be of use please let me know.

what can i do when someone is trying to scam me?

i recently tried to sell my car on a classifieds website called gum tree less then 24 hour after postingi recieved a message on my mobile saying they would like to see more pics and that they where interested they sent me an email adress so i got on my computer and emailed them back ill attach the emails

hi what else would you like to know??? its a tidy little car a few paint chips caused by locking myself out of it and the drivers side key hole is missing the bit that goes over it. the only reason im selling is because it to hard to get my baby in and out of the back. its also handy to move things i've used it when i bought a new washing machine with the bask seat down and the parcel shelf out its like a little van definitely worth having a look at =)

I will be needing your email with PayPal for the payment,once payment has been completed,i will have it picked up by an international shipping company as i am having it shipped abroad(so doesn't need a rego) and they have liaisons with local AU companies in every suburb so getting to you shouldn't be a problem

hi, my paypal is *myemail@gmail* but i was told by gumtree that cash transactions and face to face comunication was a safer option also that people claiming to be over seas can be dangerouse because of all the internet scammers about. i am not trying to offend just trying to be careful and as long as the payment is complete and there is no cost to me i see no problem with this happening. when would you like to coplete this transaction?

Working With a Foreigner!!!!

Well it all started back in June 2008, I had been living in on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow with my partner Stephen and 4 of his friends, after living the party life style for a year, and we decided to move to his sleepy hometown of Largs in North Ayrshire for the quiet life.
After months of Job searching, and getting little correspondence from employers, I was about to give up, I gave it one last chance, and decided to send my CV to offices around the town. To my luck I got a response from what seemed like an inspiring Estate agents. I called the estate agents back as instructed in my letter, to find the Director completely abrupt and rude. I began to think maybe I was a last resort and that she has little hope in me actually being a valued member of her team. The day of my interview, I got up extremely early, at 7oclock, even though my meeting wasn’t until 1oclock. I wanted to prepare myself for whatever questions she may throw at me.
I asked Maggie, Stephens’s mum, who I look up to in so many ways, having only completed her degree 6 years ago, and she is already a Regional manager for a nursing home. She has a fantastic relationship with Stephen his 2 other brothers, the sort of relationship that I always dreamed of with my mum. Maggie and Stephens Father Dave treat us with a high level of respect on a friend to friend level, they don’t judge nor patronise us in any way possible. I could ask Maggie and Dave anything, and not get looked down at like I would my own mother, I love my mother Liz very dearly, however we don’t get on as well as I’d like. Maggie went through Common interview questions, which prepared me immensely. As I strolled 3 times the pace I would normally make the walk 30 minutes rather than the usual 10, I went over each question over and over again. Planning to tell her that I would be a fantastic team player,

As I walked through the door the first thing I noticed was the decor, let me say it wouldn’t be to most people’s tastes, It didn’t look at all professional but a “do it yourself bedroom” the walls where covered in embossed yellow wallpaper, and the floor was tiled with what seemed to be once white but now brown striped tiles I felt as if I needed sun shades., trying to hide my fear with a huge fake smile I was greeted by a bubbly yet professional lady, she was typing away quite the thing, looking very happy with her job, until I told her I was there for an interview, her face suddenly dropped as if to tell me to leave, she told me to take a seat, each staff member in the office gave me the same glare, the glare was coming from every direction. The once bright spacious office now seemed like a dark and dingy cupboard which I was trapped in. Mrs X the director walked out of the back corridor, she was around 5 foot 5, long brown straggly hair, with silver highlights. Her skin was drained from colour, it was a grey and she was dressed in black trousers with ripped hems, a black t-shirt, and a gold Jacket which looked as if it had been in her closet for years.

Claim form send to us by Phoenix workforce solution(no issue date, no court seal) is it legal papers still?

We are a university student from Glasgow Caledonian University, and we have our work placement here in Bradford as a part of our Nursing Programme. We rent a house which was chosen by our agency way back in the Philippines, unfortunately we are paying 1,126 pounds monthly as we are four in that house. There is no copy given to us when we sign "licence to occupy" contract individually stating a 52 weeks of stay in that flat. We ask for our copy that day but the agent from "Phoenix Workforce Solution" send me only the usual contract via email and not even scanned copy of the original paper we have signed. After 2 mos. of staying in that house, when we are 4days away because we have to attend our school classes in glasgow, the momment we arrived from glasgow and open the door we notice that all of our things have been scattered and missing, basement window was totally wrecked and 3 doors were broken, we found out we have robbed. We call 999 for the police to investigate and a total loss of 1,400 was estimated. Crime reference number was given, we phone our letting company and the agent of Phoenix "clive" and informed what happened. He send someone to cover that broken window as protection for that night and change the locks. The following days we are all upset and cannot really believe that this is happening to us, we decided to write a letter stating that we want to move to another house, its no longer safe for us and our social life, work and schooling are all affected and we are all suffering from emotional distress. But when we discussed this to him via phone "he got really mad and even shouting us and threaten us about our visas to be revoked". But we still pursue to leave that house scared that he might get "physical" against us. And now he is sending us via email such form to pay him 3k each "claim form" from Northampton County Court no seal, no issue date.

My Letting Agent has left me without water for 10 days?

The plumber cut off water supply to my flat as the pipes are dmaged due to them being frozen. All the pipes need to be fixed but my agent cannot guarentee the manager of the buliding will pay to have new pipes fitted. What can I do? It has been 10 days for this problem to be fixed. I live alone and have no family up here in Glasgow. Who is responsible and can I contact anyone else about my situation? I have spoken to manager, plumber and factor of building countless times. Any advice would be great.
